To say that the Euaiki Eco Resort offers guests the experience of having their own beach is an understatement. It’s not just a beautiful, secluded beach that you’re getting, it’s the whole experience of staying in the privately owned Euaiki Island! The Euaiki Eco Resort lies on this 22-acre slice of paradise with white sand, clear blue waters, caves and rock formations, and a lush forest — all at the heart of Vava’u.
This island resort has 8 beachfront fales of traditional Tongan design, all with hot shower, 2 beds (queen and single), and a private porch. Like other island accommodations, the fales are not air-conditioned. Rightly so, because the natural sea breeze and the shade of Fotulona and palm trees are more than enough to make every minute of your stay cool and comfortable.
Resort Amenities and Island Activities
The resort’s bar and restaurant offers international and local in-season cuisine, as well as a good selection of international wines and liquor, and local and European beer. The restaurant has inside seating, but you can arrange to have a Tongan umbrella-covered table set up right on the shore or the water’s edge for a more romantic dining experience.
Aside from whale watching, the Euaiki Eco Resort offers water activities like sailing, snorkelling, and kayaking. The private island is all yours to explore, so you can also go hiking and bird-watching along the trails of the island’s tropical forest. You can also join the resort staff on reef walks and experience how they gather fish, fruits and process coconuts for food and local crafts.
Rates and Contact Information
The nightly fale rate is at $TOP400, with add-ons for full board meals, return transfers from Vava’u airport to Euaiki island, and boat transfers to the town of Neiafu.
